Rosy triangular crystal system rhombic crystallization or bright brown powder shose shape like shoe-shaped silver ingot. Relative density 3.125. hardly dissolve in water, slightly soluble in the water containing carbon dioxide. Dissolve in thin inorganic acid, slightly soluble in ordinary organic acid, does not dissolve in alcohol and liquid ammonia. Be stable in the dry air. When moist,easily to be oxidized to form manganese sesquioxide, then become brownish black; when be heated, decompose to form carbon dioxide. Hydrolyze when boil with water. Be manganese hydroxide in the boiling sodium hydroxide.

Application:
Material for producing soft magnet of telecommunication equipment. Industrial manganese widely used as catalyst of decoking, the porcelain glaze paint, varnish drying agent and raw material for maing other manganese salt. Also use in medicine,mechanical accessory, phosphate treatment and so on. Its content could be low slightly if it is used as microelement fertilizer in agriculture.
