CSA BINDER

CSA BINDER is not a cement, some of clients called it csa additive, it`s a pure csa clinker, the precursor to csa based cements. This binder is a hydraulic, cementitious mineral blend, high in C4A3S-(Calcium Sulfo aluminate crystals) compound. Upon mixing with Portland cement and gypsum components, it yields a very early and strong cementitious matrix.

 

This binder was designed to be blended with Portland cement and anhydrite to make some dry-mixed mortars which need fast setting, rapid hardening, high-strength, freeze resistance, impermeability, corrosion resistance, low pH, low dry shrinkage and micro expansion properties.

 

This CSA qualities of fast setting and high early strength development are not related to CAC (high alumina cement), even though the Aluminum Oxide content is high. CAC is a refractory cement with a completely different microscopic crystal structure.

 

When blended with Portland cement, CSA functions as a catalyst in the rapid hardening process or concrete, and the more CSA that is used, the higher the early strength. However, higher replacement dosages will significantly reduce the set time. All csa are inherently fast setting. In order to boost the working time, chemical retarders and accelerator are often used.

 

This CSA BINDER is specially produced for Dry-mixed mortars and artificial Stone.

The characteristics of CSA BINDER have been tested in accordance with the Chinese standards: GB20472-2006.

Setting time determined at 20℃, using Vicat needle according to GB/T 1346-2001.

Mechanical strength at 20℃, 95% relative humidity according to GB20472-2006 .

※Storage:

CSA BINDER is normally supplied in one-tonne bag which include a moister resistant barrier.However, in common with all hydraulic binders CSA BINDER must be kept from moisture, and can retain its properties for up to six months when properly stored.
